I had an amazing couple of nights on this great little campsite listening to the sound of the owls. You can pitch in amongst the rows of apple trees and there's plenty of space. There's a really well equipped kitchen and shower block and you can buy local produce like eggs and fruit juice made on the farm. The owner was super helpful and the facilities were spotless. Great location and the village has a great community shop and pub.

Brilliant little camp site with excellent facilities - clean toilet, warm and powerful shower, and little kitchenette enabling quick washing up! Booking online was easy and they sent through a great PDF with info, including recommendations for the local area.

This was my first visit, and my partner’s second. We will both be back, for sure. What a beautiful place! The dens are roomy, cozy and comfortable. Having separate facilities to shower and prepare food is brilliant. And everything was immaculately clean. Clare, who was there when we arrived, was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding area is stunning, with lovely, secluded beaches, cozy pubs and beautiful countryside. A winning formula, people. Thank you so much 🙏😊.

Really great location - we rent a 7.5m mobile home and we were able navigate our way (slowly) down to the farm. It's a really beautiful farm, well laid out, with a sink for washing dishes, the restrooms were clean and well constructed with showers. Would definitely stay there again. Jerry was very helpful with providing instructions. Only regret was that we didn't stay long enough to make to it the farm store on the property.

Lovely couple of nights spent at the Hen’s Den! We stayed there in our vintage camper. Our pitch was of a good size and serviced by electricity. The facilities were excellent for the size of camp and wee extras left by the owners were very thoughtful. Only possible negatives were the early departure time (we just made it for 10am, but 11 or even 12 is more usual), the whirly gig needs bolting down (I found it lying down in the hedge!) and the pitches could really do with some surface gravel. We were lucky with the weather, but I wouldn’t like to see the inside of a van or tent if the dirt pitches got really wet!

What a fabulous site! We arrived in the pouring rain so couldn't take advantage of all the facilities on offer but we'd love to come back to experience them again. Having a toilet, shower and sink in one room like a bathroom was great. I wish more places did this. The apple juice and eggs we bought were delicious. Highly recommended.

Stayed in our small motorhome here for 2 nights. Absolutely stunning views, excellent facilities. Fab little kitchen with washing machine if needed. Showers and toilets were a great set up and always kept immaculate. Unfortunately we were unable to visit the animals but that did not spoil our stay in the slightest. A pure and simple hidden jem

This is one of our family’s favourite campsites. It’s small, secluded, intimate and beautiful. The facilities are great and views and surroundings are beautiful. There is lots of stuff for the kids to play with. Around the orchard and in the play lounge. So much has been considered without it being too managed. But if you prefer spacious pitches and big grassy meadows this isn’t the right spot for you. The pitches are a squeeze. We have stayed in both a pitch site with our 4 person tent and in the hens chicken dens which was super lovely. It’s not quite glamping and that’s what I liked about it. You are still very much camping but with added privacy. We will definitely be returning here again.

Just back from a lovely relaxing stay, camping on the gala pitch. Showers, toilet, kitchen facilities were all immaculate and the games room much appreciated by my children. Really liked the 10pm curfew too ☺️. It took a couple of days to sleep through the 6am cockerel though 😂. Only drawbacks/points to note would be: - the pitch area was very compacted so rock pegs were needed - the pitch area wasn't flat.. with slopes at either side. I have an average sized 6 man tent and that was tricky to pitch due to this so wouldn't want anything bigger - 10am departure is much too early for camping... I was still waiting for the morning dew to dry out before packing the tent away (noting that no-one complained about our late departure though!).

We spent two nights at this lovely site last week. Just 6 camping pitches with partial separation from the trees, so nice and quiet and relaxing. Toilets and showers were cleaned daily, and the shared kitchen facilities looked good (though we didn’t use these). It was a 20 minute walk into a lovely village with a fab pub and community shop, and about the same distance to Maidencombe beach. A really nice place to stay!
